Change the MP3 Encoding Rates in Media Player (All Windows)

These settings allow you to change the MP3 encoding rates in Windows Media Player. The default is 56Kbps which is quite low quality, this tweak allows you to add higher rates such as 128Kbps or 192Kbps.

Open your registry and find the key below.

Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value called 'LowRate, MediumRate, MediumHighRate, HighRate' using the settings below.

Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.

Value: Rate in Bits per Second (bps)
